Donations

Every year the Cleveland Touring Club gives donations to support cycling organizations locally, regionally, and nationally. These donations are typically done with funds from the proceeds from club events such as Sunday in June.


Ashtabula County Metroparks

The Ashtabula County Metroparks Greenway Trail is a popular destination for cyclists of all skill levels. A team of volunteers keeps it mowed, clean, and safe for use all year round. The Cleveland Touring Club's donation helped to support upkeep for all users in the northeastern Ohio region.

Adventure Cycling Association

In memory of long time member Fritz the Cleveland Touring Club donated money to one of his favorite organizations. Adventure Cycling Association is a national group that encourages people to explore the world by bike.

Cleveland Bikes

Cleveland Bikes is active is encourage cycling in northeastern Ohio. From commuting to recreational cycling and mountain biking their goal is make the roads available for everyone.

Cleveland Metroparks (North Chagrin Reservation)

North Chagrin Reservation is part of the Cleveland Metroparks. Located on the east side of Cuyahoga County it serves a diverse population including weekly Cleveland Touring Club rides on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Cleveland Metroparks (South Chagrin Reservation)

Another popular destination within the Cleveland Metroparks system, the South Chagrin Reservation is located in the southwestern corner of Cuyahoga County. The donation went to help look into adding a water stop for use by hikers, cyclists, and other users of the park.

Geauga Park District

The Geauga Park District runs parks all over Geauga County. One of them is the Maple Highlands Trail which runs from Chardon to the Headwaters Park. A valuable asset to the northeastern Ohio cycling community. This donation went to help fund maintenance of the trail for use by cyclists, walkers, and the general public.

Lake Metroparks

Lake Metroparks operates public parks in Lake County. The club's donation went to support general operations for a resource that benefits the entire community.

Lake County Amateur Radio Association

The Lake County Amateur Radio Association assists with Sunday in June by providing radio support for SAG. The club appreciates the time that they donate to help create a safe environment for the many cyclists that came out this past June.

League of American Bicyclists

The League of American Bicyclists is a nationally respected organization that advocates for cycling across the country. Their mission is to promote bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and work through advocacy and education for a bicycle-friendly America.


Ohio Bicycle Federation

While the Ohio Bicycling Federation may be best known for its annual events calendar they also advocate for cyclists across the state of Ohio. Recent initiatives include lobbying against proposed rumble strips and educating motorists and cyclists on sharing the road.

Ohio City Bicycle Co-op

Playing an important role in the Cleveland bicycling scene the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op refurbishes donated bicycles for reuse. Their Earn-a-Bike program allows children to earn a bicycle by taking courses on bicycle safety. They also provide repair courses for people who wish to learn how to maintain their own bicycles.

Walk and Roll Cleveland

Walk and Roll Cleveland encourages people to get out of their cars by walking or riding instead. The Cleveland Touring Club's donation was in support of their advocacy activities within the northeastern Ohio region.

World Bicycle Relief

World Bicycle Relief works to get bicycles into the hands of children around the world. Their goal is to enable independence by providing sustainable means of transportation in third world countries.
