The Silver Wheels Cycling Club would like to invite members of the CTC to ride the Dog Days Wine Tour.
The Dog Days Wine Tour offers 4 rural cycling routes of 28, 50, 68 and 100 miles. The new starting location is The Lodge of New Russia Township located just north of Oberlin. The Lodge opens around 6:00 for registration and riders can hit the roads at 7:00. The rest stops are at wineries and if you buy a bottle to take home, they have wine runners that will drive it back to the Lodge and be waiting for you. The 28 mile route has 2 wineries, the 50 has 3, the 68 has 4, and the 100 milers have 6 winery rest stops. One of the stops on the three longest routes is located inside Burnham Orchards and the wine runners will haul back your fruit and pastry purchases too.
